From: Tony Mikus <bigengine@alltel.net  Date: Wed, 18 Jan 2006 01:38:49 -0500  To: BIG ENGINE  Subject: LOS ANGELES TRIP   Man what a great time in LA. A few of the people we got to see and meet were  Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction who is married to Carmen Electra (didn't  meet her though) Rudy Sarzo-bassist for Quiet Riot and Whitesnake, Shooter  Jennings-Waylon's son and great new country artist in his own right, Tom  Morello-guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, Janie  Lane-lead singer of Warrant, some actress from the Sapranos, I don't have  HBO so I didn't know who she was, members of System of a Down and Revenge  Sevenfold. Really fun time.   We got to visit West Lake Studio where they recorded "Thriller" and tons of  other big albums. We also got to go to Venice Beach, Malibu, Santa Monica,  The Sunset Strip, and Hollywood Blvd.   Now for the business end of things.   We recorded for one day in NRG Studios. What an incredible facility.  Everybody from Hootie and The Blowfish, No Doubt, Linkin Park, White Zombie,  Godsmack, and tons of other huge bands have recorded there. Look them up on  line at  http://www.nrgrecording.com/nrg/  We were in studio A cutting drums and bass. Benny got to use the same snare  drum that was used on all the Nirvana recordings. Just awesome!   After that we moved over to Pulse Recording where Ryan recorded Staind,  Velvet Revolver, 30 Seconds To Mars, and a bunch of other artist. We cut  guitars there. If you are a fan of the show Punk'd, they did an episode  there at Pulse where Da Game thought he couldn't get his car out of the  parking lot because of concrete work being done.   We got a great start on our next cd. We will be doing additional tracks when  time permits over the next several months. Thanks to everybody who put  anything in our tip jar to help us make the trip and special thanks to Pat  and Robin, Todd and Kim, and Brian and Bonnie. It was something we will  never forget.   This week we are at Buffalo's Wednesday night from 6pm-10pm  Thursday is Coyote's 8:30pm-12:30am  Friday night The Boot Hill Saloon on Main Street in Daytona 9pm-1am  We will be celebrating our friend Mike Milardo's birthday that night!  Saturday is Square One  Sunday The Rooster on US1 in Bayard 3pm-7pm   Take care and thanks for the support another year!   Tony Mikus
